Why was the Dog Food Selector created?

Each dog has unique needs... The approach "one food for all dogs" isn't the more suitable. Dogs have different sizes, different life stages, unique breed characteristics, health conditions and a few other factors... Choosing the right food for your dog may help him or her life a longer and healthier life! We exist to make that task easier for you.

How does the Dog Food Selector work?

It's quite simple... It's a 1-2 step process. You just have to fill in the form with your dog's characteristics, like gender, age, size, activity, health conditions and a few other important data and click "search". Then, you'll see a list of dog foods with the highest review score. If you wish you can see all the detailed review of each individual dog food.

Recall of 22 Bags of PEDIGREE® Brand Adult Complete Nutrition for Dogs

Dog Food Recall Alert

In August 26, 2014, Mars Petcare US declared a voluntary recall of 22 bags of PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition dry dog food products due to the possible existence of a foreign material – small metal fragments. The foreign material is not embedded in the food, but may present a risk of injury ingested.

The bags were produced in one manufacturing facility, and shipped to one retail customer. The facility production line has been closed until this issue is resolved.

Affected bags were sold between August 18 and August 25 in 12 Dollar General stores in the following cities:

  • Arkansas: Perryville and Cabot
  • Louisiana: Baton Rouge, Calhoun, Hineston, Jonesville, Pineville and Slaughter
  • Mississippi: Magnolia and Vicksburg
  • Tennessee: Memphis
Only 15-pound bags of PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition dry dog food sold at Dollar General in Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and Louisiana with the production code shown below are included in this voluntary recall. Each product will have a lot code printed on the back of the bag near the UPC code that reads 432C1KKM03 and a Best Before date of 8/5/15.

Dog Food Recall Pedigree
No other PEDIGREE® products are affected, including any other variety of dry dog food, wet dog food or dog treats.
